I'll be on the radio...

And not just any radio: Martha Stewart Radio! On a show called Morning Living, hosted by Kim Fernandez and Betsy Karetnick. The show will air live, from 7am to 10am, on Monday, march 9.

I'll be talking with them about my book and about the stuff I talk about here, except for the topic of my mother, who is less than pleased about my last post. Well, OK, maybe a little bit about my mother.

I have quite a few other new calendar additions and announcements, please visit the Book Tour and Events Page  for more information.

Oh, fun! And we adore your mother--tell her not to be mad, ok?

Do you plan on doing any book events in Vermont?

How exciting!

My mother doesn't like me to tell stories about her, either. It seems wrong to give someone so much good material and then tell them not to use it. At least, that's what I think. But she gets really sad. And mad.

As a result I am forced to discuss her episodes of, say, vacuuming the neighborhood streets with her upright Hoover in a very serious tone, as if it was really the only sensible thing to do.

I can't really explain why I keep up the charade. It just seems easier, I guess.

But I admired her even more after reading the story!

Parents have a way of re-writing our defining childhood moments...of course in a way that reflects very well on them, I figure they made it through parenting so they earned it...to a degree!

Oh my goodness! That is so cool! I'll have to take a listen, for sure.

The stories about your mother are kind of the best, though. They are so funny that it hurts a little...
