On December 6th, I will be leading a hat making workshop at The Land of Nod Pop-Up Shop in Soho. This will be a great chance to make a fabulous hat (princess? king? Pom Pom beanie? Slouchy hipster thang?) for you or somebody you love. Bring the kids to this one!! The adorable Annabel will be on hand, and hopefully we will see lots of you too.
Arent these amazing? Nicole just sent me these photos of belt buckles that she made using pages from Heather Ross PRINTS and parts from Etsy stores and elsewhere online... I think I need a few...
I asked Nicole to share her sources and this is what she says:
I Heather- I for the rectangle belt buckle from Clarkewoodworks on etsy:
And I got the oval ones from tonya boezi:
The rectangle one was easier to work with b/c it had more of a “tray”.
belts are from Happy Middles
Thanks everybody, we raised about $1000, all of which will be put to good use here in tattered NYC. As a special thank to everyone who participated we are sending out a small thank you, a little signed mermaid print. Those of you who bought 6 or more tickets will be getting a T shirt. We are truly touched by your generosity!
Signed (and doodled in!) copies of Heather Ross Prints with limited edition prints included now available!
Now available in our online shop...
We would love to send you a signed and dedicated copy of Heather Ross PRINTS. I'm even happy to add a little doodle (goldfish? gnome? kitten? camper van?), by request. We wanted to make this a really special package, so we are tucking a set of signed, limited edition prints into the books cover. We couldn't decide between the Country Mice / City Mice or the Little Piggies, so you get to choose. The Mice prints are 4" by 6", the Piggies are 5" by 7". Everything is in stock, and will ship within a week. Don't forget to let us know who to make the book out to!
We have started stocking mass quantities of cute little frames from IKEA, largely due to your requests. We know many of you like to pick your own frames, but if you'd like us to include a set to match your prints (like the ones shown above) we are more than happy to do so. Sorry, we can't ship frames Internationally!
Gretchen Hirsch will be teaching at our upcoming Weekend Sewing Workshop in Pacific Grove, California, and I'm thinking I need to get her to bring a few vintage swimsuit patterns and give us all a lesson. Who's with me?? I'll even volunteer to spend an afternoon at Spandex World (not as crazy as it sounds) stocking up on some fabric for everybody! We still have a few spots left in the February 1-3, you can read more about it here and register over here...
We also STILL have a few spots left in our October Workshop, which is in New York City (with the genius Liesl Gibson in attanedance!), and just a few short weeks away. The weekend was full but a few people had to cancel last minute, so now's your chance! One spot even comes with a room at The Chelsea Lodge, but you'll have to act fast on that one... let us know if you can make it!
Speaking of all things workshop, some of you have emailed asking what our plans are for 2013. Leslie and I have been agonizing over the decision to take a few seasons off, but we just have to do it. Bee and TC have been troopers, but they need me on weekends right now, and I have just signed on to some big projects that are going to require a lot of my attention, including a top secret fabric project AND that book of essays about my childhood that I've always wanted to write. It was an especially tough call to make, because I LOVE these workshops and all of the friends that I have made and get to see every year.
So when we say that this is your chance to get yourself signed up, we really mean it!
